The London International Horse Show was a Christmas extravaganza π and one of the most popular horse shows in the UK.
I wanted to share my experience of attending the London International Horse Show in December 2022.
Snaffle Travel was thrilled to bring some guests to the London International Horse Show and it was even more special as it snowed while we were there which added to the Christmas magic.
London was so festive π with the stunning Christmas lights along Regent and, Oxford Streets as well as Piccadilly.Β Trafalgar Square and Convent Garden were special too with the enormous Christmas trees adding to the enchanting Christmas theme of London.Β The 24-day Advent calendar window display was another must-see at Fortnum and Mason’s an upmarket grocery store frequented by the Royal family.
To be finally travellingβ internationally once again with no proof of vaccination or travel delays was pure bliss. Even my luggage arrived on time…
I took the opportunity to write an article on my London International Horse Show experience for Equestrian Hub an online Australian Equestrian Magazine.
The London International Horse Show is an amazing Christmas spectacular keeping the crowd entertained and it was a fantastic way to end the year.Β It was wonderful to see all the world’s top-ranked local and international riders coming together under one roof across three disciplines in dressage, show jumping and driving with so much action packedΒ into five days.
One of my favourite events was the famous LeMieux Puissance with the big red brick wall and also a crowd favourite.Β The event was held over 5 rounds with the wall getting to 2.15 metres (over 7 foot).Β The two final riders jumped over 7 feet to a draw and it was a brilliant effort.
It was so thrilling to be at a World Class Equestrian event once again after a two-year hiatus and be able to witness some of the best riders in the world with the amazing Christmas atmosphere. It was also a great opportunity to do some last-minute shopping for Christmas too.Β I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and wrote an article for Equestrian Hub one of Australia’s leading equestrian magazines.
