This festive tour kicks off in Munich, Germany, with a visit to the stunning Neuschwanstein Castle and a stroll through the enchanting Christmas markets. Experience traditional German festivities with a dinner at the iconic Munich Hofbräuhaus, soaking in the vibrant holiday atmosphere.
Next, we visit Salzburg famous for its fairytale-like Christmas markets. Among them, the main Salzburg Christmas Market in the stunning Cathedral Square, known for it’s local crafts, food and Christmas carols. You also can’t go to Salzburg without a Sound of Music tour.
Then to Vienna, home to the magnificent Spanish Riding School and here, you’ll enjoy a Gala performance at the renowned School with a behind the scenes stable tour. Vienna truly shines during the festive season, boasting over 20 Christmas markets and an array of delightful traditions that make it a Christmas paradise. Not to forget a visit to the stunning Schönbrunn Palace and the Christmas markets with a Strudel show.
The final leg of the tour takes us to London for the spectacular London International Horse Show, dubbed the “World’s Best Equestrian Christmas Party.” This event combines world-class equestrian competition with thrilling displays and a dash of Christmas magic. Arrival Day in Munich
Welcome to Munich! Upon arrival at Munich Airport, transfers are included at a set time to your hotel in the heart of the city. After check-in, the day is yours to explore at leisure.
Later this afternoon, join the group for a guided walking tour of Munich’s Old Town and its iconic Christmas markets. Admire the city’s six-story Christmas tree in Marienplatz, and witness the famous Glockenspiel at the Town Hall. Beneath the majestic tree, Munich’s traditional Christmas Market comes alive with festive lights and enchanting music. Upon returning, you’ll be transferred back to central Munich to explore even more of the city’s Christmas markets. This morning, we embark on a 2.5-hour journey to Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart and a city rich in history and charm. In December, the snow-covered spires and domes of Salzburg’s Old Town create a picturesque winter wonderland.
Upon arrival, we’ll visit the 500-year-old Christmas Market in front of the magnificent Salzburg Cathedral. Here, you’ll find stalls brimming with culinary delights, candied fruits, and steaming mugs of mulled wine. Take your time to explore the festive atmosphere, and warm up with a traditional glass of Glühwein adding a cosy touch to your afternoon. After our visit to Hallstatt, we will continue our journey to Vienna, where we expect to arrive in the late afternoon. This evening we will gather for dinner, allowing you to savour the flavours of Austrian cuisine as we celebrate our arrival in this magnificent capital. Today promises to be truly special with a visit to the renowned Spanish Riding School in Vienna. You’ll witness a spectacular Gala performance, where the elegant Lipizzan horses showcase their graceful movements in one of the most stunning riding halls in the world. After the show, enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes stable tour. Meet the stars of the performance, explore the tack room, and visit the stables where these majestic horses are housed.
Later in the day, indulge in a taste of Vienna’s history at a famous café, where you’ll savour the legendary Sacher Torte. Afterwards, take a leisurely stroll to Christmas World at Rathausplatz, one of Vienna’s largest and most iconic Christmas markets, set against the backdrop of the majestic Rathaus, the city’s historic town hall. London – London Excel – London International Horse Show
This morning the group will transfer to your London Excel hotel. The London International Horse Show morning session starts with Showjumping and the highlight this evening includes the FEI Dressage World Cup “Freestyle to Music”, with all your favourite international dressage stars competing. This event attracts Olympic favourites like Charlotte Fry and other international stars. There is plenty to see and do with a large shopping village with over 200 stores and the international entertainment and the Shetland Pony Grand National to keep you entertained. London Excel – London International Horse Show
The International acts and the Dog Agility will perform today and the real action starts at the horse show this evening with the FEI World Cup Driving. It is always nail-biting stuff as the corners are tight and the action is fast and furious. FEI World Cup Driving where our very own Australian, Boyd Exell normally competes here. In between sessions explore the trade village with goodies to inspire your Christmas shopping list. Later watch the hotly contested Longines Christmas cracker jumping stakes. London Excel – London International Horse Show
This morning kicks off with the Show Jumping event, followed by the thrilling Six Bar competition, offering plenty of excitement and entertainment throughout the day. In the evening, witness the grand finale of the FEI Driving competition, a highlight of the event.

London Excel – Departure day
After breakfast, say your farewells and sadly today is the final day of the tour and departure day. You might like to stay on and enjoy the Christmas festivities in Europe. For those heading home laden with Christmas goodies you might like us to arrange a private airport transfer if you have stocked up on Christmas presents and now have too many suitcases.
