Badminton Horse Trials is one of the most famous five-star eventing competitions in the world and one of seven such competitions worldwide.  Sadly, both in 2020 and 2021, Badminton Horse Trials was cancelled due to COVID.

Badminton Horse trials is returning in 2022

It’s exciting to see Badminton Horse Trials return from 4-8 May 2022, three years since it was last held in 2019.  This was when Snaffle Travel last attended with a group.

Snaffle Travel has been taking tours to Badminton Horse Trials since 2015 and it is one of our most popular and favourite tours. Our groups love the pomp and pageantry and watching all their favourite riders competing, cheering on the Aussie and Kiwi riders, and seeing all the beautiful English countryside.

Badminton TV for Overseas Visitors

Badminton Horse trials will be introducing Badminton TV in 2022.  It is a 12-month package available now from AUD$24.99, increasing from the 1st of April.

Jane Tuckwell the Badminton event director said, “We know how much our loyal followers from around the world enjoy following the competition, whether spectating at the event or at home, so we hope Badminton TV will be a great addition to everyone’s enjoyment.”

This year will be the first time Overseas fans can watch the full competition, including the horse inspections, on the paid-for streaming service Badminton TV.  See all the most popular recorded cross-country action on Saturday and see Sunday’s two-hour highlights with the top ten show jumping final.
